Family Friendly Gaming Hall of Fame
Since 1998 those of involved
with Family Friendly Gaming have been promoting good
games for families. We have been involved in the
industry for decades. We are constantly honoring
good games for families. The Holy Bible has been the
set in stone standards we have applied to the
definitions we use. Covering these games in a wide
variety of forms has been the order of the day for
these games. We wanted to do something additional,
and special for some of the best of the best. Yes we
have a rarely given seal of approval.
What about something else though? Some companies and
some franchises deserve a lifetime achievement
award. Which is usually given when that lifetime is
over with. In video games a franchise can come back.
Companies can come back. So after much prayer,
fasting, and earnestly seeking God's will we have an
exciting announcement. Welcome to the Family
Friendly Gaming Hall of Fame. Here are the in year
of our Lord 2020 inductees. Each inductee will
receive a plaque to commemorate their status of as a
Family Friendly Gaming Hall of Famer.
Frank Bury - Family Friendly Gaming
Frank was the original sports editor, and reviewer
in the blossoming years here at Family Friendly
Gaming. He still consults from time to time on a
variety of sports video games, concepts, and what
the video game industry needs to do to improve.
Frank has tirelessly supported the vision of Family
Friendly Gaming in a variety of ways. There are so
many areas he has impacted all of our lives, and
this ministry. He has earned his place in the FFG
Hall of Fame.
Zumba Fitness games - Majesco Entertainment
If you have seen the Family Friendly Gaming Youtube
videos, or Twitch streams then you know how much fun
the Zumba Fitness video games are. Millions of
people do Zumba on a daily basis in some form or
fashion. The video games were a brilliant move by
extremely intelligent people. We still play some of
the Zumba video games to this day. The Zumba Fitness
games helped us lose weight, get off the couch, and
improved the entire image of the video game
industry. The videos we did of the Zumba Fitness
video games do well to this day. Zumba Fitness earns
its way into the FFG Hall of Fame.
Wii Fit - Nintendo
When we look at video games that improved the image
of the video game industry, Wii Fit is on that short
list. Nintendo embraced healthy living, getting off
the couch, and exercising on the Wii. Wii Fit is the
perfect example of what an exercise video game
should be, and could be. Wii Fit ushered in a lot of
clones that also wanted to get some of the exercise
video game market. Wii Fit is still a favorite all
of these years later because it makes exercise fun.
Wii Fit saunters its way into the FFG Hall of Fame.
My Sims - Electronic Arts
There are franchises that come and go as they
please. There are franchises that are still going to
this day. My Sims is due for a comeback at some
point in the near future. Until that happens we want
to recognize the fun and general family friendly
nature of the My Sims video games. We could sail the
seas, change our clothing, party and more with My
Sims. The Sims is controversial and highly divisive
in terms of content. My Sims is the safer for
families Sims kind of video game. My Sims belongs in
the FFG Hall of Fame.
LocoRoco - Sony Computer Entertainment
None of us knew what to expect from LocoRoco when it
was released. By the time the sequel came out we had
figured out this fun little video. We roll around
collecting items and growing our fun little
character. We had to separate to go through certain
areas. We tilted the PSP sytem to move around. We
had to learn how to get speed and launch our fun
wiggly orb across divides. LocoRoco is one of those
few really family friendly Sony titles that stick
with us to this game. LocoRoco rolls into the FFG
Hall of Fame.
Mario - Nintendo
Mario has been around a long time. Mario has been in
a variety of franchises. There have been parties,
action adventure games, sports, puzzles, and more.
Mario is one of the pillars that makes Nintendo who
they are. Mario has some controversial content, and
had some controversial moments. At this point in
time Nintendo has decided to keep Mario generally
safe for families. That means they are not going
macabre and morbid with him. Families appreciate
that. We appreciate the variety of games and styles
this characters has been in. We decided to let Mario
jump into the FFG Hall of Fame.
