Family Friendly Gaming Hall of Fame
Since 1998 those of involved
with Family Friendly Gaming have been promoting good
games for families. We have been involved in the
industry for decades. We are constantly honoring
good games for families. The Holy Bible has been the
set in stone standards we have applied to the
definitions we use. Covering these games in a wide
variety of forms has been the order of the day for
these games. We wanted to do something additional,
and special for some of the best of the best. Yes we
have a rarely given seal of approval.
What about something else though? Some companies and
some franchises deserve a lifetime achievement
award. Which is usually given when that lifetime is
over with. In video games a franchise can come back.
Companies can come back. So after much prayer,
fasting, and earnestly seeking God's will we have an
exciting announcement. Welcome to the Family
Friendly Gaming Hall of Fame. Here are the in year
of our Lord 2024 inductees. Each inductee will
receive a plaque to commemorate their status of as a
Family Friendly Gaming Hall of Famer.
Atari 2600 – Atari
Families can thank Atari and the Atari 2600 for so
many wonderful video game experiences and memories.
This system really paved the way for how we play
video games still to this day. Pop in a cartridge
and play the game. There were plenty of Atari 2600
video games that families can still enjoy on this
system to this day. It is an honor to induct the
Atari 2600 into the Family Friendly Gaming Hall of
Fame.
ChuChu Rocket – Sega
Puzzle games are generally more family friendly.
There are exceptions of course. ChuChu Rocket helped
families think in new and different ways. How can we
get all of your mice to the rocket ships before the
cat(s) can get to them? Can you place the
directional arrows properly to save the day for all
of the mice? ChuChu Rocket has been on multiple
systems and helped brains all over the world think
about problems intelligently. All rise for the
ChuChu Rocket induction into the Family Friendly
Gaming Hall of Fame.
Dance Praise - Digital Praise
DDR, Zumba and Just Dance video games helped
families get up off the couch and get some exercise
while playing a fun video game. There was a huge
outcry for some kind of Christian Dance video game.
That is where Dance Praise came along. It really
helped Christian families find a dance video game
without the bad content they were trying to avoid.
Dance Praise moves and grooves its way into the
Family Friendly Gaming Hall of Fame.
Franklin's Great Adventures - The Game
Factory
Kids video games are routinely better than the adult
only ones in a plethora of areas and regions.
Franklin’s Great Adventures stormed onto the Gameboy
Advance. All ages of the family found they could
enjoy this fun little hand held video game day after
day, and week after week. Franklin’s Great
Adventures is fun, fresh, looks good, sounds good,
and is a welcome addition to the Family Friendly
Gaming Hall of Fame.
Go Vacation - Bandai Namco Entertainment
There were so many wonderful Wii video games that
families enjoy. Go Vacation is another great example
of a wonderful video game for families. There are
over fifty different sports and activities for
families within Go Vacation. Families can get some
exercise and enjoy a little time together while
playing a video game that is safe for all ages of
the family. Go Vacation barrels its way into the
Family Friendly Gaming Hall of Fame.
Ivy the Kiwi? - XSeed Games
Ivy the Kiwi? Is a Wii and Nintendo DS video game
that families can enjoy. A hundred levels to
progress through will keep most families busy for
weeks to months. Using vines to guide the birds is a
fantastic idea. Ivy the Kiwi? Is fresh, fun, bold,
and needs to come back to the video game industry.
Ivy the Kiwi? Is a great game that deserved more
than being just a one hit wonder. Ivy the Kiwi?
Guides its way into the Family Friendly Gaming Hall
of Fame.
