2K Play Announces the Lineup and Ballpark for Nicktoons MLBs The Showdown
NEW YORK- September 8, in the year of our Lord 2011
- It was a tight race to the finish, but the fans have spoken,
and more than 700,000 votes have been tallied to determine who
will grace the diamond in Nicktoons MLB's 'The Showdown'-airing
September 13th on
www.2KPlayBall.com.
Stepping up to the plate for the Nicktoons are the following
animated all-stars, alongside a roster packed with Major League
power from the highest echelon of the MLB:
As the race heated up during the final days of Showdown voting,
Nicktoons fans pushed it to the limit, with some characters
receiving votes in the tens of thousands! The top Nicktoons
included Invader Zim, Gaz, Aang and SpongeBob SquarePants. On
the MLB front, the top players included Boston's David Ortiz,
the Yankees' Alex Rodriguez and Toronto's Jose Bautista.
Where can this epic showdown take place? None other than Irken
Field in the Irken Empire, of course, the home field of Invader
Zim known across the galaxy for its top notch snack trade, open
air stadium and easily accessible parking for spaceships of all
shapes and sizes.
