Indiecade 2011 Submissions Open
LOS ANGELES, May 18, 2011 – IndieCade, the International Festival of Independent Games, today announced it is searching for the next independent game stars with open submissions for its 2011 Festival. Past winners have included games that have gone on to Xbox 360, PlayStation3, and iPhone while winning awards and racking up sales. In conjunction with the call for submissions, IndieCade announced its fifth consecutive Indie Game Showcase @ E3 Expo. The Showcase will include highlights from past showcases and preview the upcoming IndieCade Festival, scheduled to invade Culver City this October 6-9.
With the window for submissions for entries for festival jurying now open, Indiecade invites independent game artists, creators, and designers from around the world to submit interactive media—from art to commercial, ARG to abstract, mind-bending to mobile, serious to shooter—for consideration. Works-in-progress are encouraged.
A diverse jury of industry leaders will select entries for top awards and prizes at the IndieCade 2011 Festival. Festival entries will also receive consideration for presentation at all other 2011 IndieCade international exhibitions. The deadline to enter without incurring additional fees is May 31, 2011.
