Kelita joins Girls Night Out Tour
Girls Night Out, an night filled with fun, faith and fellowship sponsored by Christian organizations, FaithLife Financial and World Vision, is currently on tour arriving in cities and towns across the United States. Sharing God’s love with women from all backgrounds, these events engage and inspire with humor and hope through comedy, storytelling, fellowship, ministry and now, music.
Much of what Kelita writes and sings about is gleaned from her own life experiences. From tragedy to triumph, the lessons are shared with transparency and honesty, connecting audiences by resonating with their own personal journeys.
“Our main goal with Girls Night Out is to bring women together from all walks of life to share a common bond and feel a greater sense of belonging within their community,” said Director of Girls Night Out, United States, Mary Messina. “Kelita embodies our mission, sharing her story of a painful past and how, through soul-searching, was able to come out from the ashes, a stronger, more resilient person. It is this message of hope and healing that inspires the women at our events, showing them they are not alone.”
Kelita is a five time Juno Award and CCMA (Canadian Country Music Association) Entertainer of the Year nominee, as well as CCMA’s Vista Rising Star of the Year Award winner. Furthermore, she has held the leading roles in “Godspell” and “Gypsy” and has shared the stage with such notables as K.D. Lang, Reba McEntire and Jim Carrey. Her new album, “Heart of a Woman” was released in the fall of 2010.
Girls Night Out reminds women that there is a beacon of hope within their community. A difference can be made for women across the globe through the value of Christ’s love, togetherness and shared experiences. Girls Night Out is committed to helping each church succeed in planning and presenting an extraordinary event, as well as making it available for all women to attend. Therefore, each Girls Night Out is affordable and accessible.
