TECMO KOEI America Announces Champion Jockey Release Date
BURLINGAME, Calif. August 3rd, in the year of our Lord
2011 – TECMO KOEI America Corp. today announces the
release date of Champion Jockey: G1 Jockey and Gallop Racer for
the PlayStation® Move and the Nintendo® WiiTM Remote & Nunchuk
for October 25th, 2011. Champion Jockey immerses players into
the heart of horse racing and will take advantage of the latest
motions sensor controls on the PlayStation 3. Depicting a
collection of real world inspired races, players will experience
what it feels like to be a jockey using intuitive gameplay.
Longtime fans will be able to get back into the saddle with
Champion Jockey, the spiritual successor of the G1 Jockey and
Gallop Racer series.
From the track to the stables, players will be in for some
serious thoroughbred horse racing action in Champion Jockey. On
the track players will be thrown into the saddle to drive their
horse, jump fences, and use a whip to simulate a real life horse
race! In the stables, players will be tasked with the thrilling
challenge of breeding and raising their very own race horse.
After customizing their jockey, players must hone their skills
by acquainting themselves with their horses’ unique rhythm,
potential, stamina and preferred racing style to excel on the
course.
Race on a total of 19 different tracks inspired by real world
horse racing tracks including but not limited to turf and dirt
tracks and steeplechases from all over the world. Serious and
casual horse racing fans can compete together in an accessible
“Fun Race Mode”. Toning down the simulation levels of
authenticity, this mode will maximize the fun of using motion
controls to race. Offline Champion Jockey supports one to two
players, and allows for up to four jockeys online!
Champion Jockey: G1 Jockey and Gallop Racer charges to the
finish line on October 25th, 2011 for MSRP $49.99 on PlayStation
3 and $39.99 on the Nintendo Wii. Developed by TECMO KOEI, the
