THQ Unveils First Art Style for SpongeBob SquigglePants

With its exclusive debut on the uDraw GameTablet™ for Wii™ scheduled for April 12, SpongeBob SquigglePants will offer a lot more than the zaniest, silliest, craziest and most frenetic SpongeBob SquarePants video game experience ever created.  This new game from THQ features unique, never-before-seen SpongeBob art styles from the Nickelodeon vault – off-the-wall visual styles that were created by Nickelodeon but never seen in an entertainment setting until now!

Over the next few weeks, we’ll give you an insider’s peek at these designs, direct from Patchy the Pirate’s private art gallery (which is also seen exclusively in SpongeBob SquigglePants)! We invite you to be the first to dive into the extraordinary, wacky world of Bikini Bottom as it appears in the new game.

To start off, SpongeBob and his pals get the comic-book treatment in a style appropriately called “Comic Book.” It’s the perfect look for the action-packed SpongeBob SquigglePants, scheduled for release April 12.

Draw! Tilt! Tap! Flick! Players will maneuver through 100 zany “Nanogames,” each lasting only seconds and getting progressively faster and more challenging at each level.

Players will take on challenges like the one featured here, with Plankton on a mission to get his sticky little hands on a mouth-watering Krabby Patty. As fast as they can, they’ll need to use their uDraw to draw a line that gets him to his ultimate prize, or else risk letting him into the abyss of disappointment – again.
