The Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky Now Available

Torrance, Calif., (March 29, in the year of our Lord 2011) – XSEED Games, an independent-minded publisher, has announced today the launch of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky on the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, a new stand-alone story in The Legend of Heroes series and the first of the Trails in the Sky games under an exclusive partnership with renowned Japanese developer Nihon Falcom, who celebrates their 30-year anniversary this month. The timed release of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky helps to remind gamers of the many contributions by Falcom that established the popular RPG genre. XSEED is publishing the game today in North America in both retail and digital versions, as well as a digital release scheduled for Europe at a later date. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is now available in a Limited Edition package which contains a soundtrack CD, a 13-inch by 19.5-inch poster and a Bracer Guild replica metal badge, for the suggested retail price of $39.99; and a standard boxed version and digital download version are also available for the suggested retail price of $29.99.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky opens in the quaint and peaceful town of Rolent in the Liberl Kingdom, home to a small local branch of an independent peacekeeping coalition known as the Bracer Guild. The adventure follows two young aspiring bracers known as Estelle and Joshua as they traverse the countryside to become full-fledged members of this elite organization. As they embark on their quest, their journey will take them from one corner of Liberl to the other, unraveling along the way a sinister government conspiracy determined to overthrow the throne, and threatening the very peace the bracers seek to uphold.

Boasting over 50 hours of gameplay and featuring an engaging narrative that encompasses everything from politics and economics to local laws and tourism, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky constitutes the ultimate portable adventure. On top of its meticulously crafted world where all actions and characters are accounted for throughout the story, the game also features a deep and customizable combat system, a massive cast of characters from all walks of life, a variety of landscapes, an in-game newspaper that receives updates as the story progresses and much more.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is rated “T” for Teen and is available now at participating retailers and on the PlayStation®Store, exclusively for the PSP system. It will also be available for digital download in Europe at a later date.

More information is available at the game’s official website: www.trailsinthesky.com/.
