Sony Computer Entertainment To Introduce Support Of PlayStationŽone Classics For PlayStationŽVita; System Software Update Scheduled For This Summer
TOKYO, June 4, in the year of our Lord 2012 -- Sony Computer
Entertainment Inc. (SCE) today announced that it will support
PlayStationŽone Classics for PlayStationŽVita (PS Vita), through the
system software update, scheduled for this summer.
This enhancement will enable users to enjoy legendary original
PlayStationŽ titles including "FINAL FANTASY VII" from SQUARE ENIX
CO., LTD. and "Crash Bandicoot" from SCE on their PS Vita's
beautiful 5inch OLED display.
SCE will further accelerate the expansion of the PS Vita platform
through regular system software updates.
Sony Computer Entertainment To Deliver "Cross Platform Feature" To Enhance Cross Platform Play Between PlayStationŽ3 And PlayStationŽVita; Supporting Titles To Be Released Starting Later This Summer
TOKYO, June 4, in the year of our Lord 2012 -- Sony
Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) today announced that it will drive
the proliferation of the PlayStationŽ platforms through "cross
platform feature" which realizes cross platform game play between
PlayStationŽ3 (PS3Ž) and PlayStationŽVita (PS Vita). Through "cross
platform feature", SCE will deliver a ground-breaking gaming
experience which leverages the capabilities of both systems and
enables users to enjoy gaming wherever and whenever.
Cross-Play
The Cross-Play feature allows PS3Ž and PS Vita users to enjoy match
or collaborative game play.
Cross-Controller
The Cross-Controller feature allows a player to use PS Vita as a
controller to play games on PS3Ž, by utilizing its rich features
including touch screen, rear touch pad, six-axis motion sensing
system, and cameras. Users can enjoy the two types of gaming
experiences through the large TV screen and PS Vita display.
Cross-Save
By managing saved data between PS3Ž and PS Vita, the Cross-Save
feature enables users on the go to continue playing games on their
PS Vita, right from where they left off on their PS3Ž at home.
Cross-Goods
The Cross-Goods feature allows users to enjoy various content such
as purchased downloaded content and user generated content on both
PS3Ž and PS Vita by transferring to other platform, by sharing
between both platforms, or by other ways.
Remote Play
The Remote Play feature allows PS Vita users to remotely access
their PS3Ž to enjoy content including games and videos.
SCE will further accelerate the proliferation of PS platform by
maximizing the strong collaboration between PS3Ž and PS Vita.

Devices

(HTC) will join the PlayStation™Certified license program(*1). By
collaborating with HTC, a global designer of smartphones and the
world's first company to launch Android-powered devices, SCE aims to
deliver the PlayStationŽ experience to even more users around the
world.

people everywhere and SCE's immersive world of gaming will bring
compelling entertainment to HTC One customers across the globe,"
said Kouji Kodera, Chief Product Officer, HTC Corporation.
In addition to third party developers and publishers as well as a
wide range of content developers who have agreed to develop content
for PlayStationŽSuite, SCE Worldwide Studios is developing
attractive games. SCE is positioned to proliferate the world of
PlayStation across mobile devices with the progress of content
development and the expansion of PlayStation Certified devices. In
conjunction with this development, SCE will rename PlayStation Suite
to PlayStationŽMobile, and position it as a new platform.
SCE will further accelerate the expansion of PlayStation Certified
devices and continue to collaborate with content developers to drive
the delivery of compelling entertainment experiences through
PlayStation Mobile.

Spells from SCE London Studios in collaboration with J.K. Rowling.
Wonderbook: Book of Spells is the first title to be published which
uses the innovative new PlayStationŽ3 peripheral, Wonderbook, and
will transform the world around you with the next step in reading
and augmented reality gaming. It is also the first product to result
from Sony's partnership with Pottermore, J.K. Rowling's unique and
free-to-use website that builds an exciting online experience around
the reading of her hugely successful Harry Potter™ books.
Featuring exclusive new and original writing from J.K. Rowling,
Wonderbook: Book of Spells comes to life as you read, allowing you
to cast spells with your PlayStationŽMove Motion Controller which
becomes your own magic wand. Go on a fantastic journey to read and
learn the secrets of wizardry and the art of spell-casting, just
like a student at Hogwarts™, when it is released in November 2012 in
Europe and December 2012 in North America. Wonderbook: Book of
Spells will also be coming to other countries and regions following
this window.

Book of Spells is presented as being written by Miranda Goshawk over
two hundred years ago, and can be found in the Restricted Section of
the Hogwarts library. It is an advanced textbook for students, which
will assist them on their journey to becoming an accomplished witch
or wizard.
Released in November 2012, Wonderbook: Book of Spells provides
students with a safe environment in which to read, discover, learn
and practise spells they already know and love, such as Incendio,
Wingardium Leviosa and Expelliarmus, as well as discover mischievous
notes and spells scribbled into the margins by previous Hogwarts
students. In addition to humorous anecdotal facts relating to the
