Anuman Interactive Announces Garfield Kart
Montreuil (France), August 20th, in the year of our Lord
2013. Garfield burns up the road with a new racing game
from Anuman Interactive. Garfield Kart is a no holds barred
cross-country race with the world's most famous cat at the
steering wheel.
Between two lasagna plates, the big lazy cat is always ready to
face his friends behind the wheel of his favorite kart. 8
opponents will race on 16 tracks in varied environments with
alternative paths.
It will be possible to play online against 5 opponents owning
any version of the title. Garfield Kart goes beyond the
multiplayer boundaries. For instance, an iPad player will be
able to battle it out with friends locally or online on PC, Mac,
iPhone, iPad or Android.
When victorious, players can unlock multiple items to customize
Garfield’s looks and skills, as well as those of his friends -
Jon, Odie, Nermal and many others.
Eric Nguyen, Marketing Director at Anuman Interactive says
“Garfield Kart is one of the most important projects developed
by Anuman Interactive. All the components are gathered to
guarantee fun and laughter for players of any age and profile.
We are also very proud to be able to have users of PC, Mac,
iPad, iPhone and Android play together online or locally.”
Garfield is a humorous comic strip created by American drawer
Jim Davis. It was first published on June 19, 1978 in 41
newspapers. It has been published in more than 2,570 newspapers
in 111 countries, in 28 languages and is one of the world’s most
widely syndicated comic strips. The plot is made of a series of
gags related to a big orange cat called “Garfield”, the comic
strip’s title. This character is known for his corrosive humor,
his laziness and his disillusioned yet sometimes philosophical
remarks. The comic strip has inspired many movies or cartoons.
"Garfield Kart" is due to be released on PC, Mac, iOS and
Android in October 2013 under the Microïds Games for All label.
