January 9,
in the year of our Lord 2013 – Games developer
‘PeqApps’ is proud to announce the release of updated versions
to their popular series of ‘Acuity Games’ branded brain games.
Exclusively available for the Apple iPad®, ‘Concentration’,
‘Edge Match’, ‘Matchematics’ and ‘Sudoku’ have all been updated
to include improved brain fitness measurement in addition to a
new ‘Levels View’ feature. All games are now available for
purchase on the iOS® App Store.
The brain's inherent neuroplasticity translates healthy
lifestyle choices into improved brain fitness, and the best way
to know if your lifestyle choices are improving your brain
fitness is measurement. Measurement verifies results, and
motivates you to improve them. Similar games on the market claim
that mental stimulation will transform your brain, but mental
stimulation is only one part of the brain fitness solution. In
addition to mental stimulation, the updated versions of brain
games by ‘PeqApps’ provide brain fitness measurement unmatched
by other titles. Combining speed, efficiency, and correctness
results into intuitive daily, monthly, and yearly graphs that
let you know whether your brain fitness is improving,
maintaining or declining. Measuring your brain fitness puts you
on the path to a lifetime of improved brain fitness, and can
potentially help prevent Alzheimer's Disease.
‘Concentration’ is a card game that begins with all card faces
hidden. The object of the game is to flip over sets of matching
cards using tap gestures. The game is won when all sets of cards
are matched. The app provides 3 set sizes (Pairs, Triplets and
Quads), and 3 card types (Numbers, Letters and Shapes), with up
to 100 card’s per game. Players can choose among the 9 default
levels, or create custom levels.
‘Edge Match’ consists of puzzles that are solved by matching
colors and patterns for each inside tile edge, and by placing
gradients on all outside tile edges. Sound easy? It's not. ‘Edge
Match’ puzzles are a highly addictive test of skill. The app
provides 7 square puzzle sizes (2x2 to 8x8), and 3 puzzle types
(Rotated, Moved and Scrambled). Players can choose among the 9
default levels, or create custom levels.
‘Matchematics’ is a game in which the objective is to match
cards’ math expressions using tap gestures. The game is won when
all sets of cards are matched. The app provides 3 set sizes
(Pairs, Triplets and Quads), and up to 4 operations (Addition,
Subtraction, Multiplication and Division), with up to 100 card’s
per game. Players can choose among the 9 default levels, or
create custom levels.
‘Sudoku’ challenges you to fill the cells in every row, column,
and 3x3 sub-grid with the numbers 1 through 9. Puzzles are won
when all cells are filled. The app's Sudoku puzzles contain from
1 to 6 solving techniques, and up to 55 empty cells per puzzle.

levels. Advanced features include: smart pencil marks, error
