Skylanders Swap Force - Can Lightning strike three times?

Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the
family friendly video games is exploring Skylanders Swap Force.
Can lightning strike three times? Skylanders Spyro's Adventure
broke all kinds of records in 2011. The mixing of toys and video
games was not only revolutionary, but also exciting and fun.
Families enjoyed being able to take their leveled up characters
to a friends house and play together. The variety of types
unlocked a wide array of secret areas. Activision found a hit in
Skylanders Spyro's Adventure. Both the video game industry and
the toy industry took notice.
Activision did what most companies do when they have a
successful video game, or a successful toy. They released a
sequel in the form of Skylanders Giants in the year of our Lord
2012. This introduced huge characters both in the toy world, and
in the video game world. Giants could do major feats within the
game to pull islands closer, throw boulders to open the way, and
more. Skylanders Giants was also backwards compatible with all
of the characters from Skylanders Spyro's Adventure. Families
got even more use out of their original purchase. Yes once again
families embraced this series, and this franchise. Skylanders
Giants became another hit for Activision. Lightning struck
twice.
Here we are in 2013, and Activision is prepping the video game
industry and the toy industry for the upcoming release (October
13, 2013) of Skylanders Swap Force on the Xbox 360, Playstation
3, Wii U, Wii, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo 3DS. New
characters will split in half, allowing families to mix and
match their favorite top halves with their favorite bottom
halves. Can lightning strike a third time? How will the release
of Disney Infinity impact the Skylanders franchise? Is the
market big enough for both of them?
