Sprint through Space in Galaxy Run
New York – Nov. 18, in the year of our 2013 –
Mobile gamers hungry for casual, yet hardcore play will be
transported to a universe of intense challenges in the
auto-running iOS title, Galaxy Run. Spiel Studios, creators of
Propel Man, a game with more than two million downloads, will
launch the title on Dec. 4, 2013.
In Galaxy Run, players are tasked with saving an explorer named
Rez who has crash landed on an unknown planet, somewhere in
space. To make his escape in this treacherous futuristic
setting, players must navigate through increasingly challenging
levels, avoiding obstacles using different abilities and
power-ups. This will require gamers to master everything from
double jumps, speed boosts and grappling hooks to anti-gravity
and portal mechanisms, all with a single tap.
The game seems easy to play at first but quickly adds new
abilities to the player’s repertoire and presents obstructions
that require complex, split second decisions to pass. The full
game has 18 chapters containing 360 levels, -- more than enough
content to keep even the most avid player satisfied.
Spiel Studios set out to create a game with intuitive controls
that made learning how to use new abilities easy, while ensuring
that defeating latter levels would take skill and strategy as
well as practice.
“The auto-running genre with single screen levels has not been
explored. With Galaxy Run, players are going to enjoy the
learning curve and get addicted to this type of gameplay.” Mohit
Sureka, CEO, Spiel Studios, explains. “With the huge number of
levels in the game, we’re offering plenty of content for anyone
that wants to experience a top notch title that provides the old
school kind of challenge in the later levels that real gamers
enjoy.”
Spiel Studios plans to release free future updates containing
new chapters as well as a level editor players will use to
create unique levels and share them with others.
Galaxy Run will be available on the App Store for $0.99 USD.
