SumahoMAMA Announces New Educational App for Kids Touch ‘n Sing
Designed To Inspire Curiosity in Children, the All-New App Combines Music with Learning
Tokyo, Japan – July 11, in the year of our Lord 2013
– SumahoMAMA, the creators of bestselling educational children’s
applications, today announced the availability of its latest
fun, learning app, Touch ‘n Sing. The new app joins SumahoMAMA’s
growing family of entertaining and educational applications
designed for children, adding a fresh layer of interaction
thanks to its sing along feature.
Built on a foundation of music and song play, Touch ‘n Sing was
designed to be enjoyed by children ages 2-6 with a wide range of
learning aptitudes and backgrounds. Younger kids can have fun
listening to the music, learning rhythm and engaging in
interactive play. Older children, who recognize and read
letters, can view the song lyrics to sing along with and enjoy
games that involve the alphabet. With four different interactive
modes of music play to choose from plus a wide variety of
educational activities, kids of all ages can enjoy a sense of
accomplishment as they play.
“After experiencing great success in the Japanese market, we are
thrilled to bring our children’s learning apps stateside,” said
Yoshiho Sakimura, co-founder, SumahoMAMA. “We’ve worked to
extensively update the app for the US which now has more
gameplay and additional features so a wider range of children
can enjoy the app.”
Features of Touch ‘n Sing include:
Enjoy catchy, entertaining music while learning the alphabet,
numbers, shapes and colors through games that stimulate and
challenge the imagination. Each song has completely different
features, so your child is sure to find an all-time favorite.
The app comes with two free songs including:
· The Hokey Pokey: Help the 5 dancers move in time with the song
and learn the difference between right and left, as well as
parts of the body like hand, foot, head and bottom. Tap your
character to make them shake and shimmy!
· The Alphabet Song: Match similar balloons. Guess correctly and
something neat that starts with that letter will appear! And if
you can’t get it, tapping the question mark button will give you
a hint! You can even change between capital and small letters,
so you can learn both.
SumahoMAMA is also offering Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, which
teaches kids about the solar system and planets, free until July
31st.
Other songs available for download include: 10 Little Indians,
The Muffin Man, Old MacDonald, Parade of the Wooden Soldiers,
I’ve Been Working on the Railroad, Wheels on the Bus, Itsy Bitsy
Spider, Farmer in the Dell, London Bridge, Turkey in the Straw
and Under the Spreading Chestnut Tree.
SumahoMAMA’s apps do not come with tutorials. Instead,
SumahoMAMA encourages children to discover the way to play each
game on their own with the goal of instilling confidence and
fostering a sense of self-inquiry and drive.
“As moms ourselves, we create our apps with our kids in mind,
considering everything from educational value to stimulating
interactivity,” said Kyoko Sakai, co-founder, SumahoMAMA. “We
see our apps as tools that can be used to teach children about
the world around them to gain real life experiences. We hope
your children love our apps as much as ours do.”
SumahoMAMA is currently available for iOS and can be downloaded
from the Apple iTunes Store. The basic version of the app is
free and comes with two songs; twelve additional songs can be
purchased for $0.99 each. Versions for Android and the Amazon
Kindle will be available soon. To celebrate the launch of
Touch
‘n Sing, SumahoMAMA will also be making its Geo Challenge app
available free until July 15th – after the initial free period,
this app will retail for at a reduced rate of $0.99 through July
31st.
