Things are Looking Up for the Wii U
Cordova, TN; December 9, in the year of our Lord 2013--Family
Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family
friendly video games is noticing that things are looking up for
the Wii U. Nintendo has been quietly correcting their mistakes
and building a community on their Wii U. They are trying things
they never tried before – like a free month of Wii Fit U. That
way families can try the game before buying it. They have had a
variety of sales on their software. They dropped the price of
the Wii U hardware. They have reached out to independent
developers and worked with them to bring those games to the
masses. They have released exceptional games that families want
to play. There are even more good games coming out early in
2014.
While I was waiting in various lines on Black Friday I saw the
same thing happen over and over again. A mom or a dad was trying
to buy a Playstation 4, or an Xbox One. Their goal was to buy it
for their kids for Christmas. Stores did not have them in stock.
The store associates suggested a Wii U instead. Guess what they
paid for? A Wii U. Now I know Microsoft and Sony are doing all
they can to meet the demand. But they are falling short. The end
result is they are giving money to Nintendo. The Wii U is
starting to gain some traction. Which should scare both
Microsoft and Sony.
The general consensus within the video game industry is the Xbox
One and the Playstation 4 will both catch the Wii U sometime in
2014. Looking at the starts of both machines, that seems
plausible. Only so long as the Wii U does not catch fire. As
more games come out for the Wii U, more gamers plop the money
down to purchase it. The list of impressive games continues to
build for the Wii U. Games like Chasing Aurora, Edge, ESPN
Sports Connection, Funky Barn, Kung Fu Rabbit, Lego City
Undercover, Pikmin 3, Scribblenauts Unmasked - A DC Comics
Adventure, Sonic Lost World, Super Mario 3D World, Toki Tori 2,
and Wii Party U. We know Super Smash Bros is coming soon on the
Wii U. So all in all Nintendo is positioning themselves nicely.
God bless,
