EA Sports was Wrong with Madden NFL 25 Super Bowl XLVIII Prediction
Cordova, TN; February 3, in the year of our Lord 2014--Family
Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family
friendly video games is pointing out EA Sports was Wrong with
Madden NFL 25 Super Bowl XLVIII Prediction. You might have
noticed the story on January 27, in the year of our Lord 2014 -
“BRONCOS
CAPTURE LOMBARDI TROPHY IN MADDEN NFL 25 SUPER BOWL PREDICTION.”
This is what EA Sports claimed would happen in Super Bowl
XLVIII. Boy were they wrong. The Seattle Seahawks beat the
Denver Broncos 43 – 8. It could have easily been 50 – 8 if
Seattle had kept the pedal to the metal at the end of the game.
But Seattle did the classy move, and put in the second
stringers. They just ran the ball, and worked on running the
clock out.
I am normally not a: “I told you so,” kind of guy. How exactly
did EA Sports make this messed up prediction? I mean after all,
the Seahawks totally dominating the Denver Broncos ties for the
third largest point differential in the history of the Super
Bowl. Meaning this Seattle Seahawks team won so impressively
that it was the third worse shellacking in history of the sport.
EA Sports not only missed the dominate number one defense
stiffling the number one offense in a victory; but in a victory
where the game was never in question. Denver got taken behind
the tool shed, and never recovered. EA Sports missed this, and
that calls into question their predictions.
Sure EA Sports has a high percentage of getting predictions
right. Sure it is only a 50/50 shot at being right. Meaning they
could get lucky quite a bit. But in the past EA Sports was much
more accurate. They have been not doing so well in the past four
to five years with their predictions. Why is that? Why does EA
Sports have egg on their face? What kinds of tweaks do they need
to make to the Madden NFL franchise to accurately predict Super
Bowls? If Seattle remains a dominate force in football will EA
Sports accurately reflect that in their Madden NFL football
games?
When I saw the EA Sports story on January 27, in the year of our
Lord 2014 I knew it was wrong. Not just because I am a Seattle
Seahawks fan, but also because it felt wrong. Their scenario did
not match the history of the number one defenses playing the
number one offenses. Their scenario did not match how Seattle
has played all year long. Their scenario did not recognize the
“it” factor in Russell Wilson. Their scenario did not
acknowledge how hungry the Seattle Seahawks are and were. Their
scenario ignored the 12th Man entirely. Hopefully EA Sports will
recover from this embarrassment.
God bless,
