Forget being bad - I want to be good
Cordova, TN; March 18, in the year of our Lord 2014--Family
Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family
friendly video games is making an important statement about
current modern day video games. What are we saying? We are
saying: “Forget being bad - I want to be good.” We are bored to
tears with video games that let us play the bad guys. Forget
that – we want to play good guys. We want to be on the side of
light. No need to play characters steeped in darkness. Let us
shine baby. Let us be the light that shines the way for others.
Let us make things better instead of worse. Let us sacrifice for
others instead of living for self. Let us take the right path
instead of the wrong one. Let us be the examples that others
strive to be.
The fad of playing the bad guy may have been entertaining to
some at first. But let us be honest with ourselves. It winds up
making us feel dirty, and filthy. We were not meant to play the
bad guys. We were not meant to do the wrong things. We were
created to be good. We were created to do the right things. Let
our industry stop acting like a spoiled toddler. Time for video
games to really mature, and really grow up. Time for the entire
industry to celebrate how great it is to be the good guys. Time
for our entire industry to embrace modesty, sacrifice, patience,
kindness, meekness, love, caring, happiness, and joy. It is time
for the entire industry to become uplifting, positive,
encouraging, and helpful. Can you dig it? Can you support it?
Can you stand up for what is right?
What can you do to be the change the video game industry needs?
You can speak out as I have. Do not let the immature, rude, and
selfish haters intimidate you. Let these companies know you will
not purchase games where you have to play the bad guy. Educate
these companies that your money goes to games where you get to
the play the good guy. Follow through with your words too –
purchase good guy games. Thank companies that make the good
games. Rate them high wherever you can. Spread the word to your
friends, family, co-workers, fellow students, and anyone else
who will listen. Finally let us know your success stories so we
can continue to spread the word. You can be the grassroots
change our industry needs.
God bless,
Paul Bury
