Playstation 4 Game Drought
Cordova, TN; April 14, in the year of our Lord 2014--Family
Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family
friendly video games is wondering why there is such a massive
Playstation 4 Game Drought. Families are looking at the
Playstation 4 and wondering when Sony will allow any games that
actually interest them. Where are the exclusive 'E' for Everyone
rated video games on the PS4? The only game that is even close
to being an exclusive family friendly title is KNACK. Yet as the
Family Friendly Gaming review showed – that game is pretty lame.
And it most likely deserved a 'T' for THIRTEEN and OLDER ONLY
rating from the lenient and often questioned ESRB.
In contrast the Xbox One, and Wii U have plenty of exclusive
family friendly video games that everyone can enjoy. So why is
Sony ignoring the largest gaming population? Why are they only
targeting the much smaller hardcore hater gamers? It makes
little to no business sense to Family Friendly Gaming. This is
probably why the Playstation 4 is such a flop in the United
States of America. Sony may have locked down Europe and Japan,
but they are flailing like a fish out of water in the US. The
solution is pretty simple – publish family friendly video games.
Get a Bible Game 2 on the PS4. Some Cooking Mama games would
make sense. Zumba games would help Sony's tarnished image. Stop
trying to be edgy and offensive. Be open, kind, caring, and
considerate to families. All of this is the direction Sony needs
to take. It starts by listening to family industry experts like
Family Friendly Gaming.
Our family was at a local Target looking at games on the store
shelf. Seeing if there was anything interesting, and new. Maybe
something had slipped through the cracks. A young couple was
looking at the PS4. The wife asked the husband what games there
were for all of them to play. They have a three year old cute
girl. What kids games are on the PS4? What girl games are on the
PS4? What games targeting women are on the PS4? You know the
answer to that question. There are none. We were standing right
next to them. Yolanda laughed and said: “None.” The husband
admitted to his wife there was nothing on the PS4 for them all.
So they left the store without purchasing a machine. Hopefully
Sony is paying attention. They are losing sales because they are
ignoring families. If Sony wants families to give them money
they need to end this excessively long video game drought.
God bless,
