Time for 3DS on Wii U
Cordova, TN; October 1, in the year of our Lord 2014--Family
Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family
friendly video games is putting their foot down and telling
Nintendo - “Time for 3DS on Wii U.” They can also include
Nintendo DS games into that category. There is something great
about being able to play a hand held video game on the larger
home television screen. With the TV screen, and Wii U Gamepad it
should be a simple thing to emulate the Nintendo DS/Nintendo 3DS
video games on the Wii U. Nintendo has a history of letting
families play their hand helds on the home consoles.
Don’t believe me on the whole history thing? Let me refresh your
memory with two devices families continue to enjoy to this day.
The Game Boy Player allows families to play Gameboy Advance
video games on the Gamecube. The Super Game Boy allows families
to play Gameboy, and Gameboy Color games on their Super NES home
console. This tradition went quiet when the Nintendo DS was
released. Most of us at Family Friendly Gaming figured it was
the whole two screen issue. Technically it could be emulated on
one screen. But Nintendo has not released it to the public yet.
Why?
Family Friendly Gaming is no stranger to making bold stances
within the video game industry. Maybe this is another bold
stance. Maybe it is time someone speaks up. Nintendo needs to
release a way for families to play their Nintendo DS, and
Nintendo 3DS hand held cartridges on the Wii U. Look Sony is
already doing cross play and allowing games on the Playstation
3, and Playstation 4 to be playable on the Playstation Vita.
Nintendo is not innovating any more. They are following. They
need to catch up, and quick if they want to be around for a few
more home console generations.
How hard would it be for Nintendo to whip up some USB device to
allow families to play their favorite Nintendo DS/Nintendo 3DS
hand held games on the Wii U? They will make it up in sales. The
previous devices are adored to this very day. Family Friendly
Gaming uses them in a variety of different ways. In retro
reviews, video capture, and more. These are handy, helpful
devices that make our lives easier. We are not selfish though.
We do not want one just for us. We want the entire video game
industry to be given the opportunity to purchase such a device.
God bless,
