Top Ten Games from 2013

Cordova, TN; January 10, in the year of our Lord 2014--Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is announcing their top ten games from 2013. These are the greatest games reviewed by Family Friendly Gaming in the year of our Lord 2013. Families can enjoy many hours of game play thanks to these games. Many of them bring families together and encourage them to spend time together. Others are innovative and very safe for families.

10. NBA 2K14 (PS3/Xbox 360)

2K Sports leads us off this year with their basketball game on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Families that are into basketball can get their Linsanity on thanks to NBA 2K14. The controls are adjustable so families can play very casually or as deep as a real NBA player. NBA 2K14 slam dunks its way into the top ten from 2013. Is it any wonder that a sports game starts us out?

9. NCAA Football 14 (PS3/Xbox 360)

EA Sports is one of the longest running sports video game publishers on planet Earth. It is no wonder at least one of their products make it into a top ten listing from 2013. NCAA Football 14 is as different from Madden as Family Friendly Gaming is from the rest of the video game media. Families into college football have only one game in town – NCAA Football 14. The feel and flow is all there for this home console sports game.

8. Build It! Miami Beach Resort (iPad)

Time management games can irritate, annoy and frustrate some people. The neighborhood building nature of Build It! Miami Beach Resort impressed Family Friendly Gaming Nation in 2013. Going from year to year making things better is more fun than it sounds. This hand held game guides families in what to build, where to build it, and how to build it. Build It! Miami Beach Resort is safe and borderline educational.

7. Duckers (iPhone)

Most free apps are bait and switch. Most free apps are trying to generate more money than the pay one time to play apps. Since most free apps constantly require payment to play. Duckers is a completely different kind of free app. This free app is fresh, and fun for all ages. Duckers is also completely free to play. It does not advertise to you, hammer you over the head asking for money. This free app allows for donations and impatient players can pay for things. Duckers has good balance and it does not take long to unlock everything playing naturally and normally.

6. Columns (Genesis)

From our retro reviews comes Columns on the Genesis. Yes Family Friendly Gaming keeps retro games, and retro gamers in mind. We could easily just stick with only the latest releases. Where is the fun in that? Besides frugal gamers are usually considered the more intelligent gamers. They get more games for the same amount of money. They also exhibit high levels of patience. Columns is a fun puzzle game on the 16-bit Genesis. Your family should be able to find it on newer systems if you do not want to play it on the original system.

5. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed (Nintendo 3DS)

Sega did something this year that is very difficult to do. They beat Nintendo. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on the Nintendo 3DS is better than Mario Kart 7. There is a new king in town of the kart racing genre. It is Sonic and his all-stars. Sega took a little extra time with the launch of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on the 3DS. Family Friendly Gaming is thankful they did. This is one impressive, amazing, and fun kart racing game for families.

4. 101 Dinopets 3D (Nintendo 3DS)

There are games that come out of nowhere each and every single year. 101 Dinopets 3D is one of those games. Family Friendly Gaming initially thought 101 Dinopets 3D would be a clone of Nintendogs. Probably not a very good one either. WOW! We were wrong. 101 Dinopets 3D is fun, fresh, cool, and a great game for kids. Intelligent adults also have a good time playing 101 Dinopets 3D on the Nintendo 3DS (note: also playable on the Nintendo 2DS). This downloadable hand held video game will not break the bank, and keep your family entertained for weeks.

3. Big Bass Arcade No Limit (Nintendo 3DS)

Big John Games made a huge splash this year with the downloadable hand held game Big Bass Arcade No Limit on the Nintendo 3DS/2DS. This fishing game was so well received at Family Friendly Gaming that it earned the rarely given Family Friendly Gaming seal of approval. There is a ton of content for the very low price. Families can spend months fishing in Big Bass Arcade No Limit. This is one fishing game Family Friendly Gaming recommends families invest in.

2. Major Magnet (iPhone)

So many companies throw something out on the app store. It hurts the image of Apple and the iPhone. Yet Iddiction did not do that with Major Magnet. They put forth a quality hand held title that stands up there with games on the PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS. In fact Major Magnet could be ported over to those systems and dominate. Major Magnet is another game that earned the rarely given Family Friendly Gaming seal of approval. This little game is just that good. If you have not played it, then you need to check it out.

1. MLB 13 The Show (PS3/PS Vita)

Hitting it out of the park again is Sony with MLB 13 The Show on the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita. Sony knows baseball video games. They are like Zeus from Real Steel – never been threatened, never been challenged, and never taken out of the first round. Well that was until Zeus faced Atom. MLB 13 The Show has not faced any Atom's though. No one else out there has published anything close to MLB 13 The Show. If you are looking for a baseball game then definitely check out MLB 13 The Show.

God bless,
