What Families want from Skylanders Trap Team

Cordova, TN; June 8, in the year of our Lord 2014--Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is chronicling what families want from Skylanders Trap Team. This game will be appearing on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS on October 5th in North America, October 10th in Europe. Will this franchise continue to dominate sales charts for both toys, and video games? Will Toys for Bob listen to families? Family Friendly Gaming is making sure your voice is out there - giving these companies that opportunity.

Families have been very clear to us at Family Friendly Gaming on what improvements, and changes they want in Skylanders Trap Team. The first thing we hear is: “I don’t want to buy a new portal every time.” So hopefully Skylanders Trap Team will not require a new portal. The next thing we hear is: “get rid of those evil, Satanic, demonic looking undead characters.” Families do not like them, and refuse to purchase them. Maybe Activision could add some Angelic characters to Skylanders. Then we hear: “stop doing new versions of old characters, come up with new characters.”

One of the things families tell us they love about Skylanders right now is different characters in the home console and hand held versions. They enjoy buying the hand held, and a home console version to get different and unique characters. It would be awesome if Activision grew that concept. Every home console version should have different characters too. Or at least between different companies. So maybe one character set for Wii and Wii U. A different one for PS3, and PS4. A different one for Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Finally a different one for the Nintendo 3DS version. That way when you go to a friends house who has a different system, you have different characters. Could you imagine the debate over which system had the best character set included?

Families also tell us they want the prices to come down on Skylanders instead of constantly climbing up. They want the skill sets of older characters to be unlocked -from the branching paths. Let us level up the path not taken. Continue to add new skills for older Skylanders. Many families have their favorite characters and like to keep playing them in the newer games. More puzzle elements to solve, and less of the boring hack and slashing game play. The ability to transfer gold from one character to another one. Competitive multiplayer game play - like parkour linear racing through levels.

God bless,
