Biggest Waste of Money in Video Games

Cordova, TN; March 13, in the year of our Lord 2015 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is covering a very provocative concept. This may be the most controversial article Family Friendly Gaming has ever published. Is that build up big enough for you? Wouldn’t you like to pay less for video games? Where is there fat in the video game industry that can be cut out? Where is there a large money expenditure that is actually a colossal waste? Do you have some thoughts on those questions? Go ahead and email them in to me, or anyone else here at Family Friendly Gaming. We love hearing from all ya’ll. When you come back you can see what we have come up with.

Expos, conventions and shows are a huge financial drain for the gaming media, and gaming companies. Sure the local cities make money from all of us in the gaming industry. What more could be done in the video game industry if those hundreds of millions of dollars were not spent? Prices could come down on games since expos, conventions and shows are part of any companies budget. They would not need to recoup as much off of game sales if they had all of that money still in their pockets. There would be more time to work on more projects. That also means video game releases could come faster than they do today. Who would like to play their favorite franchises months earlier?

The accusation that there is back room dealing, corruption, and extortion should lessen. After all if certain gaming media outlets seen as corrupt or bought off would lose their opportunity to have back room deals at the expos, conventions and shows. Yes they could just meet directly at one another’s offices. It would certainly not be as easy. What else could these companies do with more of their money? Well they could do more game give-a-ways. They could give more reviewable copies of games out to more gaming media outlets. Their workers would be less stressed, and have time to get more work done. Everywhere I look there are positives all over the place. So why is the industry wasting so much money on these expos, conventions, and shows?

God bless,
