Color Guardians Now Available
SAN JOSÉ, Costa Rica - May 12, in the year of our Lord
2015 - Fair Play Labs, an independent developer from
Costa Rica, today released Color Guardians, a new action title
where side-scrolling action meets tricky, multi-faceted
obstacles and objectives. The game is available today in the
Americas for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system,
the PlayStation®Vita portable entertainment system, Windows, and
Mac PCs, with a release in Europe to follow soon. The game is
one of the first PS4 games to be released from a developer in
Latin America. Color Guardians is available to download now from
PSN and Steam on all platforms for $14.99.
“It’s been quite a ride, getting to bring Color Guardians to PS4
and Vita. We’re proud that Sony gave us the chance to help lead
a new wave of super innovative games from Latin American
developers,” said Claudio Pinto, General Manager of Fair Play
Labs. “They’ve been incredibly supportive, all through the
Developer Incubation Program and the PlayStation Experience show
in Las Vegas. Today, we finally get the chance to share Color
Guardians with gamers worldwide, and show them what we've got!”
In Color Guardians, the world has been robbed of its color by
the thief Krogma, and it’s up to the three Guardians – Rod, Lia,
and Grock – to restore it. Players must guide the Guardians
through dozens of challenging, puzzling levels to spread life
back to the universe, managing several facets of gameplay at
once. Not only must the Guardians jump and dodge incoming
hazards and obstacles, they must also switch between three
“lanes” of running along the world’s Z-axis… while also swapping
their own colors on the fly to match the world around them.
Color Guardians brings together simple game mechanics in a
unique combination to provide a rewarding experience all its
own.
