Confederate Flag Video Game Removal
Cordova, TN; July 20, in the year of our Lord 2015--Family
Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family
friendly video games is discussing a controversial topic. The
Confederate Flag means different things to different people. To
some it is history. To some it is pride. To some it is an
awesome design. To some it is racism. To some it is not part of
the diversity they celebrate. To some it is Southern identity.
To some it is states rights. To some it is freedom from tyranny.
To some it is important. To some it is not worth worrying over.
I am sure there are many other opinions and definitions. Family
Friendly Gaming has stood up against the hate filled
redefinitionist movement for a long time now. We recognize and
understand that there have been attempts to redefine the
Confederate Flag in recent years. We reject that attempt to
redefine like we have rejected other attempts to redefine.
We recently went back to Forza Horizon 2 on the Xbox One. We
noticed that one of the cars we had purchased - The General Lee
had been stolen from our garage. No message from Microsoft about
the theft. No compensation from Microsoft over the theft. An
update had been forced upon us when we started playing the game
again. This is why I hate Internet based video games. A company
can steal anything from you and not compensate you for it. In a
game with no connection to the Internet, they can not take your
property away from you. Microsoft did this because a few loud
mouthed, judgmental, haters imposed their will, and their
definition on the rest of us. It is a matter of principal that
they not get away with this evil, vile, and wicked act. I know
plenty of people who find the Rainbow Flag highly offensive. I
don’t see Microsoft pulling that flag from their games. Talk
about a double standard.
Ancestor’s of mine were Cherokee. I could easily claim the flag
of the United States of America is offensive to me. Better pull
it down from everywhere. Where does the book burning of content
a few people don’t like end? I am a disabled war veteran who
fought for this country, the US Constitution, and freedom. All
of this grievance industry is stealing freedom. The people
trying to ban things they are offended by make me regret giving
them freedom. Go live under a tyrant and then maybe you will
start to respect freedom. Live under an oppressive regime and
see how much you appreciate voting for rights. The ignorance of
so many annoys me. What annoys me even more is how the US
Constitution is being ignored by the Supreme Court, the
President, Congress, the US Senate, and so many others. I am
offended by sin being portrayed in a positive light by
HollyWeird. I am offended by selfish people. I am offended by
over-taxation. I am offended by greedy people. I am offended by
ungrateful whelps. I am offended by those not paying their fair
share. I am offended by forked tongue devils. I am offended by
liars, and those with no integrity, and those with no honesty. I
am offended by people being racist to any race. Guess what? I
don’t get my way. That is part of life. Live with it.
God bless,
Paul Bury
