Sony’s Cross-Buy is Generating Loyalty
Cordova, TN; April 1, in the year of our Lord 2015--Family
Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family
friendly video games is giving credit, and props where they are
due. Sony came up with a brilliant idea when they rolled out the
Cross-Buy promotion. When you purchase certain games on the
Playstation 3, you got a code to download it for free on the
Playstation Vita as well. Now Sony has been expanding the
Cross-Buy program. Families can purchase certain games on the
PS3, PS4, or PS Vita; and then play that game on all three of
the systems. Note you will need to download it to each of the
systems. Make sure you have enough Internet bandwidth to
download the same game three times.
Consumers we talked to absolutely love the Cross-Buy. They love
paying for something one time, and then be able to play it on
multiple systems. You need to have the same account on each of
those machines to make this work. As well as the previously
mentioned Internet connection and bandwidth availability.
Consumers tell us they like to purchase one physical copy of a
game, and then enjoy it on multiple different systems ranging
from home consoles to hand helds. The only way Sony could make
this better is if they gave away free physical copies of these
games after one of the others is purchased.
I have certainly been critical of Sony for a wide array of
blunders over the years. From hacking, to discrimination against
Christians. From their propaganda and lies to their attacks on
the traditional family. In this instance, and in this case Sony
is being brilliant. The Cross-Buy promotion they have going on
is a step in the right direction. I hope Nintendo and Microsoft
are paying close attention to the loyalty Sony is generating
with the Cross-Buy promotion. Those two companies have a lot of
ground to cover so they better get a move on soon. That is if
they ever hope to catch Sony in this particular arena.
God bless,
