Chroma Squad Announced
SANTA CLARA, Calif., (September 2, in the year of our
Lord 2016) – BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc.
today announces its partnership with Brazil based indie
developer, Behold Studios, to publish Chroma Squad, a tactical
RPG inspired by Saban’s Power Rangers, one of the longest
running and most-watched kids action series in television
history. Chroma Squad will be available for the PlayStation®4
computer entertainment system, Xbox One, PlayStation®Vita
handheld system, iOS, and Android. Chroma Squad is scheduled to
launch in the Americas in early 2017.
Based in Brasilia, Brazil, Behold Studios’ Chroma Squad is a
single-player Tactical RPG game where players take control of a
team of five stunt actors who decide to quit their day jobs to
create their own Power Rangers inspired TV show. Throughout the
game, players will cast actors, purchase & upgrade equipment,
craft weapons, and build giant mechs to battle evil and fight
for justice with the goal of generating high TV viewer ratings.
Chroma Squad features old retro sprite-based graphics and
presents its story in a humor-filled Tokusatsu style made famous
in classic, live-action Japanese sci-fi film and TV shows.
Chroma Squad is currently rated “RP” for Rating Pending by the
lenient ESRB. The game will be coming to the Americas for the
PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One,
PlayStation® Vita handheld system, iOS, and Android in early
2017.
