My Nintendo is lame compared to Club Nintendo
Cordova, TN; May 16, in the year of our Lord 2016--Family
Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family
friendly video games is sharing a comparison opinion on My
Nintendo versus Club Nintendo. For those not versed on Club
Nintendo let me explain it. It was a program where we input
codes that came on little pieces of paper in the packages of
physical copies of video games. They were in Wii, Wii U,
Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS packages. Digital downloads were
also applied right to the players account. Then we went in there
and filled out surveys on what we thought of the games and of
Nintendo. That service (Club Nintendo) was shut down in 2015. It
was replaced with My Nintendo.
I gave My Nintendo a shot. It is one of the worst reward systems
I have ever seen. Download and play lame repeat pay to play apps
from Nintendo, set up an account, and then you can earn enough
points for 15% to 30% off of a digital download. There is even
one lame digital download that can be earned for free. No
Nintendo themed T-shirts. No posters to hang on your wall, and
no physical copies of games to earn. What gives Nintendo? How
lame is your new service? To me it is absolutely worthless and
meaningless. Plus we do not even get to share our opinions of
Nintendo and their products. Lame, lame, and more lame.
I miss trading cards with Nintendo themes on them. I miss the
bags, and other physical products that we earned with Club
Nintendo. I am not paying for anything in any free app (remember
free app is actually an industry lie). I am not into any kind of
social app. If I want to know a friend’s favorite color I will
ask them in person. Wow, what a novel concept huh Nintendo? My
Nintendo has no real world value to it. It has no real world
appeal to it. Because of this I find My Nintendo to be lame
beyond belief. I doubt I will look at it again any time soon.
Nintendo went from having the best customer rewards system to
one of the worst. Who is making decisions over there? Did you
hire people from Sega, or Atlus USA?
God bless,
