Selfish Much Nintendo?
Cordova, TN; May 23, in the year of our Lord 2016--Family
Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family
friendly video games is sharing a personal story from a recent
event. I had a birthday recently, and there were plenty of
friends and family that wished me well. The focus was on me. It
was my birthday after all, and common sense as well as good form
means you focus on that person on their birthday. Anyone with
good tact knows that. Obviously people over at Nintendo missed
that in their upbringing. Because their email to me on my
birthday rubbed me the wrong way.
Can you see what set me off? They are thanking me for being a
fan. Guess what Nintendo? I am not your fan. Never have been,
and probably never will be. I purchased a Nintendo 3DS XL
recently and had to give them all kinds of information to get
through the lengthy system setup process. The free wallpaper
goes to this
link. Where I can see Mario on my computer all day, and
every day. It is also on the Nintendo website where they are
advertising a variety of their products. On my birthday Nintendo
screamed: “LOOK AT ME!” What are you a two year old? As you can
imagine I did not download a picture of Mario generically
saying: “Happy Birthday.”
It shocks me that Nintendo tried to use my birthday as an
opportunity to advertise themselves. Want to know why I am not a
fan of Nintendo? It is stuff like this. It is their
discrimination of Christians. It is their attacks on Biblical
marriage. I can’t be a fan of a company that treats Christians
like third class citizen. I play a few of their older games I
enjoy. I can disconnect my enjoyment of those games from the
company behind them. If we were in a court room I would treat
Nintendo like a hostile witness. Their selfishness and self
promotion makes me sick.
God bless,
