Game Streaming is not Dead

Cordova, TN; September 4, in the year of our Lord 2017--Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is revealing an interesting truth we ran across recently. Video Game streaming is not dead. Many of us considered it dead since so many companies have tried and failed. Families like to own their games, and not pay a monthly service to just use a few games. Most families do not have the Cadillac Internet plans that allow them to stream massive amounts of data like video games. Family Friendly Gaming figured this was an interesting idea that would appeal to a niche crowd. Ultimately it would not receive mass success like physical copies of video games. Then we found out about Utomik.

What is Utomik? It is a service with over 600 PC games on it that has a single plan or a family plan. Family Friendly Gaming was given a free one month subscription to try out Utomik. There are plenty of games families can enjoy. What about the streaming and Internet plans? Utomik loads a small part of the game on your machine so you can start playing. Then the rest of the game loads to your computer while you are playing it. As far as we can tell it is like downloading the game before it is played each time. We do recommend families on tight Internet plans pay close attention to their data usage. Utomik has a fourteen day free trial for anyone interesting in trying before they buy. We did have issues with downloading Utomik, and downloading games on Utomik. It was sluggish, and slowed down our aging gaming PC. Yes we have plans on upgrading it once we get the funds.

As new technology emerges we will see new ideas like Utomik. Will it eventually succeed? That always depends on the market, and you. You will decide based on your purchasing or lack of purchasing if something works in the industry or not. There are plenty of retro games on Utomik. They are also adding new games every single month. It is sad that Utomik is limited to PC games. It would be neat to see games from other systems also playable on Utomik. That might be a pipe dream on my part though. At least I now know video game streaming services are not completely dead.

God bless,
Paul Bury
