Stop Making Excuses
Cordova, TN; August 7, in the year of our Lord 2017--Family
Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family
friendly video games is giving a strong opinion on an area the
video game industry needs to mature in. This is an area where
the video game industry needs to grow. The video game industry
needs to stop being such a fragile snowflake and man up. The
time has come for the video game industry to stop making
excuses. They are lame, immature, and so last century. I am
personally sick and tired of this one excuse in particular – it
was made in Japan. Or that is how things are in Japan. We are
not in Japan. If they want our money they need to upgrade their
games to reflect our culture or we need games made in the USA.
Anyone who supports diversity should support American made video
games. Since there are definitely not enough of them in the
video game industry.
It amazes me how many people try to feed me those lines in
reference to major problems in video games. There is content in
video games that make the entire industry look bad. When
concerned citizens speak out about it they get attacked by too
many in the video game industry. That makes us look worse. Then
from there we hear – it was made in Japan. So were Toyota’s but
they were modified for use in the USA. Why can’t video games be
modified for use in America? Oh wait they are – at least
partially. They are translated into English and some of the
offensive content is removed. If these video game companies are
capable of removing some bad content, why can’t they remove the
rest? A better question is why do they leave it in there? What
is their real goal there? What do you think is going on there?
Do you have any thoughts on this topic?
I am confused why anyone would think the lame and immature
excuse of – that is how things are in Japan would fly over here
in America? It has to be one of the worst excuses I have ever
heard. Plus it was covered all of those years ago in the book
Video Game Lies. Why would any educated gamer try to use that
video game lie so many years after that book was written? Are
they not educated in the truths that are in that book? I am
working on a third revision so hopefully they can grow past
using such a horrible excuse. I have hope that the industry can
grow past this. I have faith that those reading this can mature
past using this excuse. I also believe more American video game
companies will be coming, growing, and reflecting our values.
God bless,
