Why So Serious?
Cordova, TN; March 20, in the year of our Lord 2017--Family
Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family
friendly video games is publishing an article on the over the
top seriousness some people have of the video game industry. Did
anyone forget that video games are supposed to be fun? Who out
there decided video games must be serious business? Is it
because of all the money some suits make off of video games? Did
greed and corruption within the video game industry remove the
fun from playing games? Think about that for a minute. We are
talking about playing games. We are not talking about flying a
plane, or operating on someone. We are not talking about which
stocks to buy. We are talking about playing games. Games are
meant for fun. It baffles me how serious some people take video
				games.

Why do we need video games to make social commentary on
political issues? Why do most of those video games come from the
extreme, radical far left? I find it funny to hear people say we
need to have balance, and then demand that only the extremely
radical far left can make social commentary statements in video
games. Where is the balance? There have been decades of a black
eye on the video game industry of discrimination against
Christians. Where are the video games demanding that third class
treatment of Christians ends? The lack of balance in the video
game industry is one of the reasons I cannot take them very
seriously. I also see a lack of fairness in video games with
social commentary. They do not give both sides of an issue.
Nope. Just the one side is given – the far left extreme radical
heavily skewed slant (usually fake news stories). That tells me
they only want to promote their beliefs.

So some feminists are mad that The Legend of Zelda Breath of the
Wild is not far enough left for them. Then other journalists
decide they have to debate them, and correct them. I think both
sides missed the point. Nintendo made a video game to make money
for their company. Both sides arguing made Nintendo money.
Nintendo made this game to be fun. Sure they shoved their zealot
religious false goddess beliefs that should make Gaia worshipers
happy (something we are not happy with here at Family Friendly
Gaming). Overweight people are mad at Sony for Fat Princess (a
game I will never play). The list goes on and on. Complaining
about video games not supporting your personal political beliefs
is getting worse. I say chill out, relax, and purchase games
that you enjoy. Encourage companies to include what you want.
				Remember games are for fun.
