How to Restructure the School System

How to Stop School Shootings. It was referenced in that
article that I have an idea on how to restructure the school
system. This is a very interesting idea that I have been
developing for many months now. First and foremost the biggest
problem I see with the current American modern day school system
is these huge buildings. So those need to go. I want to replace
them with neighborhoods. Think about it like this. Instead of
going into massive building, kids will go into a neighborhood.
The teachers could even live in the houses they teach out of.
This idea would make learning more personal again. Teachers
would no need to commute to work anymore. They would in essence
be the perfect work from home scenario. Kids would go to one
house for one subject, and then there would be vehicles to
transport them to their next class which is in a nearby house.
If the kids wanted to they could walk from house to house. The
neighborhoods would be kept safe as there would be people out
and about making sure the kids are safe. If a shooter gets into
the neighborhood there will be people who will quickly be able
to stop them. If a shooter gets past that roadblock they then
need to get into the first house. At this point all kinds of
alarms would go off. They would not be able to get anyone in
another house.
This kind of a school system would foster community. Could you
imagine how much more relaxed kids could be in the living room
learning versus the clinical schools? Could you imagine how good
teachers could be in a better setting that makes them more
comfortable? There are definitely obstacles that would need to
be overcome in this school system. I believe if someone in the
educational department piloted out my idea it would work better
than our current school system structure. What do you think?
Could you imagine learning in this kind of an environment? Would
you like to live near such a school system?
