Resurgence of Family Games

Cordova, TN; November 5, in the year of our Lord 2018--Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is celebrating a resurgence. The Wii era ushered in the golden age of family friendly video games. Family Friendly Gaming was swamped with new, cool, and amazing video games for families. That dropped and declined with the Wii U, Playstation 4, and Xbox One. Nintendo failed with the Wii U, and neither Sony or Microsoft were interested in focusing on family friendly video games. Instead they focused on the macabre and morbid video games. The video game industry moved away from family friendly video games. Certain game developers that provided for families went bankrupt as the industry took a turn to the dark side.

We are seeing signs of the resurgence of family friendly video games yet again. Outright Games and Gamemill Entertainment have both been exploding onto the scene making great games for kids, and families. Hope has come back to the video game industry. The Intellivision Amico is the latest in exciting news for families. This console will only allow ‘E’ to E10+’ rated video games on it. The Intellivision Amico will always be family friendly. Will families support this system? I certainly hope so. I know Family Friendly Gaming has already spent a lot of money publishing coverage of this system that does not come out until October 10, 2020. That is quite a lot of time to wait. We notice more and more gaming companies wanted to focus on families again.

I recently reviewed PAW Patrol on a Roll and it reminded me how much fun kids games can be. We have been recording the gameplay of PAW Patrol on a Roll and it has been great. We miss older Dora the Explorer games, and older Go Diego Go games. The industry had a great thing going for quite some time, and then abandoned families. It was a dark period for the video game industry. I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully it is not a train barreling down on the video game industry. What other kids games are coming soon? I do not have the answer for you at this time. Lord willing there are plenty being made. I also hope to see some new cool Christian video games on consoles in the near future. Do you have hope for family friendly video games in the future?

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
Paul Bury
