Atelier Ryza Ever Darkness & The Secret Hideout Available now
Hertfordshire, October 30, in the year of our Lord 2019 – KOEI TECMO Europe and GUST Studios are pleased to announce the release of Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout on Nintendo Switch ™ and PlayStation®4 today. The latest chapter in the Atelier series begins with a whole new story arc, bringing a beautiful new visual style and exciting new combat mechanics to the franchise.
Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout follows Ryza and her group of mischievous friends, Lent and Tao, who yearn for adventure and excitement away from their everyday village life. While exploring a forbidden island in search of adventure, the group encounters the wandering alchemist, Empel, and his war partner, Lila, who change their lives forever. The duo agree to teach Ryza the enchanting ways of alchemy and prepare her for a harrowing quest to save her hometown from a mysterious and deadly darkness lurking beneath the surface.
In Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, players will use completely redesigned synthesis and combat systems. They collect and synthesize raw materials into powerful combat objects before fighting the lurking monsters that pass through the many lands through which they will venture. The new synthesis interface displays at a glance the required materials and effects that can be added to the final article. A "link synthesis system" is used to easily display item placement. Alchemy novices are warmly welcomed with an easy-to-understand synthesis, while serial veterans are given the opportunity to take full advantage of the system through the strategic placement of items. The new Real-Time Tactical Battle system allows you to continue fighting even when character actions are selected. It offers fast-paced and exciting combat situations.
In addition to the fun between exploring and fighting, Ryza and her friends can visit their own secret hideout as a new operating base. For the first time in the series, players can customize their hideout to reflect their unique style. Changes also provide the ability to increase certain values on the field and during combat. In their hiding place, alchemists can perform a unique kind of synthesis - with special bottles - that are combined with other items to create a plethora of new collection sites full of raw materials. Depending on which elements are used in the process, the environment can change drastically!
