Dark Side of Gaming - Corruption Supporters

Cordova, TN; February 11, in the year of our Lord 2019--Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing our exploration of the dark side of gaming. There are those that try to deny the corruption within the video game industry. That is bad enough. There are also those that are trying to support or justify the corruption. In my opinion that is even worse. These people acknowledge the corruption and see no problem with it. Some of them feel they are entitled to some kickbacks. Others feel they have bought the mainstream gaming media so it is their right to tell them what to right.

Video game companies got too large too quickly. Video game companies got too wealthy too fast. Morals and ethics were dropped for the greed of making more money. Video game companies realized they got more sales from positive reviews than negative reviews. So they started their march to corrupt the gaming media outlets to make them more sales. Too many people in PR and Marketing see the gaming media as an extension of their departments. They are not paying their salaries but feel the perks they offer are what buys them out. Sadly too many gaming media outlets have succumb to this corruption because they want to still get press releases and reviewable copies. Talk about selling out cheap.

What scares me is how few in the gaming media try to clean up the swamp of corruption in the video game industry. They forget the power we have to take away sales from these companies. They forget the trust the public puts in us to be fair and unbiased. Too many gaming media outlets have lost that trust. Too many gaming companies have a greedy corrupt image. The problem comes from their lack of listening. Family Friendly Gaming has talked about this issue for years. The corrupt gaming media outlets and the corrupt video game companies are not listening. There is no punishment for their transgressions. What do you think?

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
Paul Bury
