A PHD in Video Games

Cordova, TN; November 2, in the year of our Lord 2020 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. We continue to be open and transparent here at Family Friendly Gaming. We love bringing a voice of diversity to video game media. We also happily give the voice of the family in the video game industry. Finally we enjoy giving the Biblical voice to the video game industry. A lot of colleges especially in the higher educational realm give out degrees based on how many hours the person put into the program. The thought hit me recently that if all the hours I put into video games was given the same treatment I would have multiple PHD’s. I would be a doctor many times over. In fact I would have more hours in service than a great many professors.

What about grades? I know there are people out there reading this right now asking that question. I guess it comes down to beating games. I have beaten a great many games. That would be completing the assignment in the time provided and in some cases going above and beyond. There are games that give scores. All of those five stars on Just Dance and Zumba video games. Those should count for something and we have video proof of them in a great many instances. Family Friendly Gaming has published over seven thousand videos on our Youtube channel. I do not have a number for how many Twitch streams we have done and transformed them into videos. Both of those should count for something.

A PHD from most colleges will require 120 course hours. I easily average ten hours a week which means every twelve weeks I reach the PHD level with my video game play. I know a lot of colleges would not recognize this even though much of it is tracked on the video game machines themselves. Plenty of colleges require two to three times as many real world experience hours to their teaching credit hours. Even at that I have been playing video games for over forty years. I would have so many PHDs it would be ridiculous. Maybe this why so many people who watch my videos and come by my streams call me a pro gamer. I have one skill beyond the time I have spent. That one skill is the quick ability to adapt and change to whatever game to become somewhat successful. Sure certain games like Fortnite took a bit of time to learn. I learned them and beat them.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
