Announcing CGDC Virtual
Join us on August 29th and 30th for our first CGDC: Virtual event!
The Christian Game Developers Conference is a unique event, focused around encouraging and edifying those who are interested in both making games and glorifying God. This year, the conference is going digital for the first time with two days of talks, workshops, testimonies, and fellowship. Come prepared to show what you are working on, and to encourage others in their projects and be inspired!
We believe that games can do more than just provide fun entertainment, that they have the ability to impact one’s soul. There are games out today that have accomplished this goal and we would like to magnify these games to the world bringing them out into the light! You don’t have to be a Christian to attend this wonderful conference — everyone is welcome! Christianity is just the very foundation this awesome conference is built on.
At CGDC: Virtual, you can experience:
Highlights from the past year in the CGDC communities
Talks from members of the CGDC communities, including Nathan Blair (CEO of Games for Love) and Andrew Lowen (Creator of the board game Deliverance)
Workshops such as getting started in Godot and Game Maker Studio 2, digital marketing, and one-on-one guidance on the needs, asks, and processes to get hired in the industry
An after party hosted by Love Thy Nerd, where game developers and game enthusiasts come together to play games together and share games made by members of the CGDC communities, including Rec Room, Corpse Cat, and Serafima
One-on-one prayer available for attendees during parts of the conference
A virtual common room to meet and talk together in digital space
Optionally, begin or end your CGDC: Virtual weekend with a one-off CGDC small group experience
