Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout - Rivalry At its Finest
The gaming world has evolved, and unfortunately, we don’t see
many family-friendly games that are very popular. However,
things will change with the latest Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout.
This game gathered
2 million players on steam
so far, and there is a good reason for that. Basically, it is a
new form of battle royale game where you compete against 59
other players racing to the finish line, playing football, or
being the last one standing in various courses.
To accent the family friendliness, they’ve made Fall Guys
extremely colorful, and the jelly bean-shaped fluffy characters
are very charismatic.
Fall Gays is a great example of where the battle royale genre is
growing outside of its roots. It is focused on the multiplayer
format with a verity of beautifully designed courses that will
definitely get the competition on another level.
The overall design of the in-game elements, as well as the
characters, makes the game extremely fun to play, especially if
you compete with your friends. The clumsy animations from the
characters are a nice way to sprinkle a bit of humor and the
suitably electric soundtrack is perfect for a family-friendly
game.
In addition, the controls are very simple, so anyone from the
age of 8 to 99 can play the game and have a bit of fun. You can
only jump, dive, or grab, so the gameplay is very
straightforward.
You compete as one of 60 multi-color jelly bean characters, in a
joyous and comical race to be crowned the winner of each of Fall
Guys 15-minute games. Each race is separated by a handful of
extremely fun mini-games, and players are eliminated after each
round.
Another impressive thing about Fall Guys is the creativity for
the games. You simply cannot get bored since there are many
different things to play, from chaotic races to team play, where
you compete to put as many eggs as possible in a basket or in an
intense game of tag.
Since you are playing with 59 other people, every game is
different. They’ve done an incredible job of balancing the
courses between luck and skill. With that said, you still need a
strategic plan to overcome obstacles in order to qualify for the
next round.
There are many interesting stages. Here are a bunch of our
favorites:
Tail tag
Tail tag is a course where some players are given tails, and
your job to be to take the tail and stay as long as you can.
Every player moves at the same speed, so it is a bit frustrating
to catch others if they don’t slip over an obstacle. It’s an
intense
race like the Kentucky Derby,
but instead of being on a horse trying to achieve the finish
line, you have a timer and you have to stick to your tail until
it runs out.
Hex-a-Gone
This game mode is a platform where you are rewarded for staying
as long as possible, but the ground is disappearing as you are
running over it.
Jump Showdown
This stage was added during last week’s first ever game update.
It is a mode where players are on the same platform with two
spinning beams. The beams move at a different speed, so you need
a strategic approach as when you jump and avoid when they line
up.
There are two dozen types of stages in rotation, and each is
more fun than the last one. The unpredictable gameplay, followed
by the extremely charismatic and fun graphics, makes Fall Guys
the perfect family-friendly game.
Just like any other battle royale game, there is a battle pass.
However, you need to purchase it in order to get the best
rewards. With each game, your progress with your character
unlocking new skins, color schemes, or costumes.
If you still haven’t tried this game, make sure you download it.
It is important to mention that Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is
free to
download on PlayStation Plus,
so make sure you grab your opportunity and play the game with no
extra cost.
