When does criticism become bullying?

Cordova, TN; June 22, in the year of our Lord 2020 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is exploring an interesting topic. The title of this article pretty much says it all. When does criticism become bullying? This question came to me while reading about all these bullies attacking someone for some criticism. They were mad that a certain person was being criticized. As if that person was in a special class and should not be criticized. There was one aspect of the criticism that went a bit too far in my personal opinion. It made assumptions about this person that may or may not be true. A lot of the people criticizing this critic were bullying themselves. That got me thinking about this question. Have you ever considered it?

Do we now have a war on criticism? Has the feel good, only say positive things movement decided to stop anything negative by anyone? How will they enforce their radicalized belief on only allowing positive things? To me those trying to stop anything negative are completely out of touch with reality. I always try to find something positive in every situation I face. There are situations that just stink. There are things that happen in life that are hard to deal with. Loved ones die, injuries happen, people will lie to you, and more. Let us be honest and real here. There are things I do not like. There are many times I do not get my way.

I deal with a variety of criticism on a plethora of platforms. Arrogant people claim they could do Family Friendly Gaming better. My answer is: “go do it.” In other words put up or shut up. It is easy to make a claim. Prove you can do better. Every single time those arrogant people backed off and proved they were all bark and no bite. I was encouraging them to creating something instead of trying to destroy (tear down) something existing. They back off because they realized it is more hard work than making a false claim. When we are out in the public forum we expect a certain level of criticism. Some people are not capable of dealing with it. Then get out of the public forum. You can’t have people cheer for you in public, and then demand no one ever criticizes you. We are all human, and we all make mistakes. Learn to deal with the bad.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
