Is 2021 the Year Big Tech Loses its Grip?
Cordova, TN; April 19, in the year of our Lord 2021 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. I notice a variety of things that are going on in this world. The backlash against Big Tech has been growing. Alternatives like Rumble, Gab, Bitchute, and Parler have been growing. There are more and more high profile personalities moving away from Google, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. The experiences range and differ on these different platforms. I have noticed this while going through them myself. It is great to see competition in this sector in my professional opinion.
Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube all had mass exoduses recently. Around the same time Rumble, Bitchute, Gab and Parler had massive increases. More and more people are moving off of what we generally know as Big Tech and moving to platforms that embrace freedom of speech. There is some wild speech on the new social media platforms. There is way less analytics on the newer social media platforms as well. We get less money from their monetization policies. Some of the newer platforms like Bitchute don’t have wide spread monetization for content creators at all. We have asked Gab about their content creator monetization on the video side and have not received an answer.
The mood, attitude, and support is so much better on the newer social media platforms. The growth on Parler for example has been insane. The same goes for Rumble. Both of those platforms are hungry for video game related material. Most of the newer social media platforms have a much better atmosphere. Politics reigns supreme on most of the newer social media platforms as well. Bitchute has some oddities and bugs that need to be resolved. It is my personal hope and prayer that more and more people with morals and ethics will join the newer social media platforms. We may be seeing a changing of the guard in terms of social media and Big Tech.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
God bless,
