What is More Loving?

Cordova, TN; June 28, in the year of our Lord 2021 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. I have written about this topic from time to time. I wanted to get a FFG Original on the website covering this topic. I hear people all the time say how loving they are of others. They accept anyone and everyone just as they are. They are being just like Jesus after all. Jesus only loved and never said a non-loving word to anyone. Jesus never condemned anyone, and Jesus never judged anyone. I am not sure where this heresy came from exactly. Thing is it is far from accurate. Yet there are people going around spreading this misinformation.

Jesus called the religious leaders of the day – snakes. If you call someone a snake don’t you think that is an insult? Jesus called a woman a dog. Wouldn’t most women be insulted if you called them a dog? Jesus told the woman caught in sin to go and sin no more. Jesus called Peter – Satan one time. Are you getting a pattern yet? Jesus told a young rich man to sell all of his possessions and to follow Him. That would certainly change someone. In fact everyone I know (including myself) who has had an experience with Jesus Christ has been changed. God prunes us and makes us into the image He wants us to be. We don’t stay stagnate in our sinful lifestyle choices. We strive to be better. We do not always succeed but we keep striving for that goal of perfection.

When Jesus saw people doing the wrong thing He called them out on it. He told them what to change and what to do differently. I submit that telling people to turn from their wicked ways is more loving. It follows the words and deeds of Jesus Christ. Imagine you saw someone driving off a cliff to their death. Is it loving to tell them they are doing a good job driving? Or is it loving to tell them there is a cliff coming up and they are going to die? I choose the second question because to me it is more loving to warn someone of the impending doom versus encouraging them in their sinful lifestyle choices. Never once did Jesus tell anyone to continue sinning. He told them to leave their lives of sin.

I refuse to cancel anyone who goes around spreading this heresy personally. God will judge all of us. God will judge me. God will judge you. If I am wrong I am willing to pay the price for that. Are you prepared to pay the price for being out of alignment with God? Some people might wonder where I am getting my information from. The answer is the Holy Bible. I read it every single day. Sometimes I read it multiple times a day. I also find time to listen to Christian praise and worship music almost every single day. There is plenty of great Christian music that quotes the Holy Bible. Be careful because not all Christian music reflects what is in the Holy Bible. We are trained to discern the good from the bad.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
