Completing Things

Cordova, TN; June 6, in the year of our Lord 2022 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. One of my most favorite things to do is to complete something. I love finishing things. Whether that is a game, review, article, live stream, video or something else. There is something so cool about reaching the end. Do you know why I enjoy finishing something off? It opens the door for something else to begin. Every single time one thing ends it means something else will get to begin next.

Take for example I fight and struggle through round after round in Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout. I then reach the final round and get the crown. I add yet another victory to my belt. It is over. It has completed. That means I can start all over or maybe go and play something else. Finishing that final round has me let out a sigh of relief and gratification. Maybe I am live streaming a series and it has been going on for ten episodes. Once I reach those credits I am so happy. I am finally done with that game. It does not mean I did not enjoy my time with it. In most cases I did enjoy my time with it. It is over and it is time for something new to take its place.

The same goes for books, comic books, manga, and more. I finish one and I am ready for whatever is next in my pile. I always have something waiting on my time and attention. Once I deal with one email it is time to go on to the next one. I love getting caught up and having no emails awaiting my attention. The same goes for finishing issues of Family Friendly Gaming, pages for the website, and articles that I write. I love wrapping them up, putting them to bed, and finalizing the content. I sleep so well when I complete just about anything. Too often we look at doing the same thing as the grind. It really is going through something to get to the finish line. I work diligently to the best of my ability to hear that: "well done good and faithful servant." Do you?

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
Paul Bury
