Lies I am Tired of - Only PR
Cordova, TN; December 5, in the year of our Lord 2022
-- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the
family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of
diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. I realized
recently that there are plenty of lies I am sick and tired of
hearing. This has turned into a series of articles. The lie in
this column that I am tired of hearing is Only PR. You would be
amazed how many people in PR and Marketing say they are only PR
when asked to reciprocate the good will, and good faith that has
been placed in them. The truly scary part is their titles say:
"PR and Marketing."
Can you imagine what these liars do when I confront them? If you
guessed they are not capable of finding the reply button in
their email software then you would be right. I usually do not
hear from them until they want something from me. Isn't that a
sad testimony to these moochers, users, and complete tools? They
only want something from me. They never once think about doing
anything to assist me with my needs. It is a one sided
relationship in their minds. They use and take but they never
put back in. You might wonder why I even say anything to the
ultra selfish and ultra self-absorbed. I have specific reasons
for shining the light of truth on their behavior.
First and foremost I want everyone to do the right thing. I want
everyone to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I
want everyone to join the Kingdom of God. Many of the vile,
wicked and evil people think they are doing good. They like to
twist their selfishness into something like: "I am giving you an
opportunity." An opportunity to be slave labor and make you a
lot of money. Where is my motivation in that? Why help you when
you just take, take, take? I am not Jesus, I cannot feed
thousands with five loaves and two fishes. There are limits to
my resources. I want the selfish to turn from their evil ways. I
want them to repent and take a better path.
I love bringing diversity to the video game industry. I love
exposing a plethora of people to different ideas. I love
expanding their minds to see a perspective different than their
own. I have gone round and round with some people. At the very
least they will not forget that their myopic comprehension is
not all there is. Finally there are those that have hearts and
they show that they care. Would they have done so if I have not
brought up the topic? I suspect they would not have even
considered it.
