Lies I am Tired of - Since you Published Before
Cordova, TN; December 12, in the year of our Lord 2022
-- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the
family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of
diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. I realized
recently that there are plenty of lies I am sick and tired of
hearing. This has turned into a series of articles. I am sick
and tired of people in PR and Marketing telling me: "since you
posted content for this game before you should want to again."
How about since I published content on your product before I
need to give some others some love and attention. Why are some
people such attention hounds? Why do some people think the world
revolves around them?
What really gets me going is when someone says that and sends me
the exact same press release that they sent me before. Know what
I do? I give them the exact same link as before. For a few I
have accidently sent them the link to our Advertise page. Do you
know what kind of a response I get for sending them a link to
our Advertise page? Thank thank me posting. My eyes have gotten
huge when this happens. They did not even click on the link. The
very least they could have done is click on the link and give us
one website hit. They are not willing to do that. Seriously they
must think this is a major one sided relationship here.
The two sentence press releases make me laugh. I have told a few
people that is not a press release it is a tweet. Some people
actually think we will spend all of the money on publishing a
news story for two whole sentences. I laughed hysterically when
people in PR and Marketing told me I could write more sentences
about the product. A product I have not seen or used. The only
information I have on the product are from lazy people who are
not even professional enough to click on the links I send over.
I am supposed to trust those people? What are we in backwards
world? They put so little effort into it. What is my motivation
to do all of that extra work and research to help them out?
I obviously have the exact opposite attitude of people in PR and
Marketing. I look at it like this: we already covered this
product. Moving on to the next product. I have also pointed out
to many people in PR and Marketing that we lost money publishing
coverage of their product the first time. Why dig that hole even
deeper? Why not find something that is of more interest to our
audience? I have even caught many of these people lying to me.
They tell me since I published before, and I check - we never
published a story on that product. We would not publish a story
on that product. I guess they think I won't have time to verify
they are making false claims.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
God bless,
