More Family Friendly Modes are Needed

Cordova, TN; August 15, in the year of our Lord 2022 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. You may have heard that Bayonette 3 is adding a family friendly mode. I applaud this decision. I wish more games would do this. Goat Simulator is another game that added a family friendly mode. That meant I was actually interested in playing Goat Simulator. I have never touched a Bayonette game before. I never had an interest. When the game earns the macabre and morbid rating I generally lose interest. I am actually considering purchasing Bayonette 3 because it has a family friendly mode. I want to see more of that. I want video game publishers and developers to realize they will reach a larger audience by including a family friendly mode.

I was into the Shadowrun series when I was younger. I played the Super NES and Genesis versions of the game. I even messed around with the Xbox 360 version of the game even though it was really lame and carried the macabre and morbid rating. Peter let me know recently that the SRPG video games (Shadowrun Trilogy) were coming to Xbox Game Pass for free. So he downloaded them for me. I have been playing the first one. I have mixed feelings about these games. First off I love the Shadowrun universe and the gameplay elements. I am bummed out about the blood, and bad language. Why can't we have a family friendly mode in Shadowrun Trilogy. Because of the bad content we won't review the games or live stream them. The developer and publisher are missing out because they did not consider adding a family friendly mode.

I bet there are plenty of video games you would like to play if they only toned down the offensive, rude, hateful, nasty, ugly, and gross content. I know there are other franchises that I would give attention to if they opened their eyes, hearts, and minds to a family friendly mode. I have talked to thousands of families that feel the same way. In fact I hear this comment from a plethora of parents: "we won't let that garbage into our home." Video game companies are missing out on all kinds of sales because they refuse to provide for families. Do they actually make more money from the hardcore gamers by failing to provide a mode for families? Are hardcore gamers refusing to purchase a macabre and morbid video game if there is a family friendly mode?

I find it funny these video game companies are constantly saying they want to make more money, but they do not even consider ideas like adding a family friendly mode. Why not? I have received tons of emails from families asking when these video games will pay me to give them good ideas as a consultant. I would be open to that idea. I doubt many of the arrogant, self-absorbed suits in these companies would be. They think they know it all. They think highly of themselves. They think they do not need help. How many of those companies folded and went under? They would rather go out of business than seek help from someone who could actually help them. Which is why they don't put in a family friendly mode.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
