One Day at a Time

Cordova, TN; May 16, in the year of our Lord 2022 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. As much as we love planning and preparing for the future there is no guarantee we will reap the profits of those plans and preparations. The sister-in-law had a lot of plans for the future. She was called home to heaven. Those of us left behind dealt with what she left behind. It is a far better thing to take life one day at a time. This is something I am still working on. I still strive to take life one day at a time. As I constantly analyze things I look for what is coming up next. I need to focus on what is right before me. I need to focus on the blessings I have today.

Some of this is easy to say and at times hard to do. When we are walking through the valley of death it can be difficult to focus on the thanksgivings we have for today. When we trudge through hard times that seem to last forever it can be difficult to be thankful for all of the wonderful things still in our lives. Do not suppose I am perfect in this. I am writing this article as much for me as for you. In fact some of these things may be more for me than it will ever be for you. I do not know your situation. I can hope that you do not struggle with living one day at a time as I do at times. I can hope you find the joy in the present.

It can shock some people to find out I deal with a plethora of problems on a daily basis. I strive to fix the problems I can, and focus on the good and positive as much as possible. I am far from perfect. I can get down. I can get depressed. I can question what others were thinking when they do something exceedingly stupid. I can also smile for hours meditating on all of the wonderful things and people in my life. I do not focus on the thousands of chores that await me. I get through my list one item at a time. Some items take longer than I would hope. Then I can have more days to focus on them. Maybe that is what I needed to do all along.

There is plenty of time in every single day we are allowed to continue to live and exist on this planet. I do not get bored very often because I am constantly doing something that will help others. Maybe it helps educate them. Maybe it brings them laughter. Whatever it is, it almost always makes their lives better. That is the kind of legacy I enjoy leaving for others. As well as pointing them to God and sharing how great it is to be obedient to God over obedient to the devil.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
Paul Bury
