Dragon Quest Monsters The Dark Prince Releases
LOS ANGELES (Dec. 1, in the year of our Lord 2023)
– Today, SQUARE ENIX® launched DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark
Prince, the latest role-playing game in the DRAGON QUEST
MONSTERS series. DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince is now
available globally, exclusively for Nintendo Switch™, at retail
and digitally via the Nintendo® eShop.
In DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince, Psaro must become a
Monster Wrangler, recruiting, and fighting alongside monsters
throughout the fantastical world of Nadiria, where rivers of
bubbling lava, mysterious ancient ruins and soaring towers of
cake await. DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince features over
500 unique monsters to battle, recruit and train, along with
online battles, changing seasons and a revamped synthesis
system.
The synthesis system returns to the series in a new and changed
form, offering players the chance to discover new monster
combinations with their own innate talents. Fans can then put
their monsters to the test in one of two battle arenas – the
Endor Colosseum in the human world of Terrestria, and the
Maulosseum in the monster realm of Nadiria. Using the right
combination of monsters, battle tactics, skills, magic spells,
attribute boosters and accessories is key to victory.
DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince encourages fans to
immerse in the game’s strategic battles, where players can issue
precise orders to each individual monster, or set general
tactics for their party, such as 'Show No Mercy' or 'Focus on
Healing.' Up to eight monsters can join the main party, with
four monsters engaging in battle and four more in reserve.
Once players have assembled a DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS “dream
team,” take the battle online and lead parties of powerful
monsters to compete against other Monster Wranglers from around
the world. For the first time in the series, online players can
compete in Quickfire Contests, massive competitions that use the
data of 30 players to conduct battles automatically.
Additionally, there are several online battle modes to jump
into, including Ranked Matches, Friend Matches, and Multiplayer
Tournaments, where up to eight players clash in a knockout
format until only one reaches the top.
The DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince Digital Deluxe
Edition will also include following bonus items:
The Mole Hole (Includes the 'Gothic Vestment' outfit): Delve
underground for a reunion with monster types you've befriended
once before. You'll also have the opportunity to scout monsters
that are otherwise very tricky to synthesize.
Coach Joe's Dungeon Gym (Includes the 'Cake-Maker's Clobber'
outfit): Explore these randomly generated dungeons and battle
legions of powerful monsters. Each dungeon comes with unique
requirements that require players to carefully assess and
construct their party. Dispatch the boss that awaits in the
final room to earn rare items that will aid you in raising
ever-stronger allies.
Treasure Trunks (Includes the 'Monstrous Mail' outfit): Every
time you open these mysterious treasure chests, you'll obtain an
exciting reward. However, you'll have to wait a little while
before you can open the chest up again and obtain the next
exciting reward on the list! Keep opening them and you're
guaranteed to get your hands on some very enticing items indeed!
Burgundy Gothic Vestment (Cosmetic item)
Warrior's Ring x1
Beastie Bites x10
