Drakantos Announced
Tuesday 3 October in the year of our Lord 2023:
Wingeon Game Studios is proud to reveal Drakantos, a beautiful
and unforgettable Pixel Art Action MMORPG. Launching
free-to-play on PC, players can join the growing group of
thousands who have already wishlisted Drakantos on Steam.
Drakantos is the debut game of Brazil-based indie studio
Wingeon, which have created a unique world in a cooperative
online experience.
Drakantos takes place in the fantasy world of Derid, brought
vividly to life through voice-acted cutscenes and a gorgeous and
nostalgic pixel art style. Adventurers can explore missions solo
or with friends with a growing cast of more than 20 unique
heroes. Players will journey through hundreds of handcrafted
dungeons that appear over time, each presenting a new set of
enemies, bosses, traps, objectives and even special events with
unexpected twists, ensuring that every playthrough is unique. As
players progress, they'll level up their heroes, discover rare
items, and equip themselves with powerful gear.
The game also brings a huge number of collectibles (exclusive
icons, titles, skins, emotes, items and pets) as well as several
other features such as housing, skill customization, a guild
system, market, and more. In PvP, players can battle in
competitive ranked modes and in-game tournaments. The stats are
even to ensure that only your skill and strategy matter,
preserving the competitive integrity apart from the main PvE
content.
“Inspired by classics RPGs but providing the kind of modern,
compelling and connected experience modern players expect,
Drakantos is a project we’re incredibly proud of and one we’re
excited for fans of fantasy RPGS and pixel art to get their
hands on,” said Higor Antunes, Lead Game Developer at Wingeon.
“We’re a team passionate about creating online worlds and
experiences dripping in character that provide players with
unforgettable moments whether they’re playing solo or with
friends. The Drakantos Discord is already buzzing with
excitement, and we can’t wait to engage further with our growing
community.”
