Forcing us to Play Together

Cordova, TN; August 21, in the year of our Lord 2023 -- Family Friendly Gaming, the industry leader in covering the family friendly video games is continuing to be the voice of diversity in the gaming media, and media at large. Long time readers and long time viewers know I am into Fall Guys. I played a ton of Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout, and now Fall Guys Free For All. In the most recent season pass Mediatonic did something different. In order to get all of your dailies done you must play in a party. That means you must play with someone else. You can still play solo but it has to be in a party. Without that party you will not get all of your dailies done.

This aggravates and annoys me badly. The match making in Fall Guys is horrible. So the solution Mediatonic has come up with is to force us to play with friends. I have a shocking surprise for you Mediatonic - I have zero friends. Definitely not anyone to be available when I have a few minutes to play Fall Guys. We are already playing an online video game. We are already forced to play with others. Why add in yet another be with others element to Fall Guys? I told Mediatonic for years in surveys that I wanted to play Fall Guys totally offline. I guess that is Creative Mode. I want to be able to play any of the games in Fall Guys completely by myself. How did Mediatonic respond to my feedback? They dropped me from the Board of Beans surveys. Thin skinned much?

I found a solution that is working quite well for this whole be in a party. I boot up our old gaming PC and bring up Fall Guys. I get into a party with my Xbox account and I play that way. The staying still too long became a problem and the game would not count it as a party since it would disconnect the PC player extremely quickly for not moving around in the game. So I put a small jar of marbles on the computer's keyboard on the WASD section. The player runs forward and usually needs to respawn. I complete the run on the Xbox and come over to usually see the other account get eliminated at some point.

The only problem with this system is while the PC account is watching me play on the Xbox the PC is getting disconnected or the game is crashing. And then maybe the first round is the only one that counts for the party rounds. This is really annoying and irritating. The core problem is forcing us into parties in the first place. I want to get my dailies and get the season pass without being forced into a party to do so. This is lame, obnoxious and annoying by Mediatonic. Plus in my opinion they are going the wrong direction. I want to play all of Fall Guys totally offline by myself. Or maybe just local co-op.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

God bless,
