Ninja or Die Shadow of the Sun Release Date

London, U.K. – 6 July in the year of our Lord 2023 – Marvelous Europe today announced Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun, the ultrafast roguelite developed by Nao Games, will be coming to Windows PC via Steam on August 2nd, 2023.

To celebrate the upcoming release, a Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun pre-release demo is now available to download and play via Steam until July 17. Visitors of BitSummit Let’s Go!!, Japan’s largest independent games festival, can also play the demo on the showfloor, July 14-16.

In Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun you are a common pickpocket, transformed by the cataclysm into a lethal Ninja with lightning mobility. The Ramen Seller becomes a Samurai. The Maiko becomes a killer Geisha. Your domain of petty crime becomes a frenzied neon world of shogun castles, magic traps and parachuting assassins. Someone has ensnared you in a loop of chaos… if not to kill you, then to protect you from something worse.

Set at the heart of a cataclysmic event in Edo Japan, Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun is an ultrafast roguelite inspired by Japanese folklore where you must master violent precision platforming in this fusion of extreme speed and one-button controls that will leave you dead and wanting more.
